Peter's first clarinet concert
Few days ago Peter and his classmates made their first public appearance with clarinets at Dale school band concert in Medfield high school auditorium. While one can not call it stellar performance and tunes were pretty basic, I was surprised how much progress kids made over course of two and a half months.Full photo gallery can be seen at Peter clarinet concert

Peter and Esther at Nyemcheks 2013
On November 13th Peter and Esther have participated in biggest dance
competition for them so far - Nyemchek's Junior All Stars Dance Sport
Championship in Teaneck, NJ. They have danced both standard and latin
and have done pretty well given long span of the event and number of
competitiors. 
Kids got awarded first places in waltz and jive - in jive they were

Peter and Esther at Boston Ballroom Conference and Competition, Standard, June 2013It was first time Peter and Esther has compete is Standard. While their scores were not so good, they still got one first place for tango, and of course, plenty of experience. Their coach was rather happy about their presentation, so it all went well. www.alexmoiseyev.com is up and running using new Smugmug engine
I was right to a high degree - even though new customisation features supposed to be more powerful and make site design and maintenance significantly easier, at the very least all customizations and tune-ups I have made to my site based on old engine immediately stopped working.
After initial frustration has worn out, I decided to give new engine a try. Surprisingly enough, restoring most of original appearance and behavior was not as difficult as initial implementation of the site - I do not know if it because of my accumulated experience or new engine is indeed easier to tune.
Of course, few nice customizations solely depending on javascript were gone irreversibly, because new site does not allow custom scripts. But some of new features, like ability to integrate feeds and place custom html widgets nearly made it up.
So, after few evenings of busy work I was finally able to turn the switch and let new version of my site to go wild - enjoy. www.alexmoiseyev.com

Peter and Esther at Boston Ballroom Conference and Competition

Last Sunday Peter and Esther has competed at Boston Ballroom Conference and Competition at Park Plaza Hotel in Boston. It was their first time in Standard categories and first time in Latin gold categories. While half of the hits were uncontested and they got "first and only" place, in one latin gold category they actually did compete and got 3 first places out of four - having two pretty strong and lore experienced couples against them.
Standard was a bit less successful, but they still got first place for tango.
